For this summative, you are going to analyze the short story as well as the main complex character in it.
You can choose to do this in essay form or through Google Slides.
As outlined in the standards above, here are the things you must do for this summative...
1. Identify 1 theme (morals/lessons to learn) of the short story, explain it, and provide textual support to prove your opinion 2. Explain the story's setting, order of events and how the characters change throughout the story (textual support) 3. Explain how the author's writing style helped to create effects like mystery, tension, surprise, conflict, etc. (textual support) 4. Identify an example of sarcasm, irony, or satire in the short story (textual support), then explain it (example: what is said vs what the writer is implying with the sarcasm)
