Option 1: Declaration of Independence Thomas Jefferson
The Declaration of Independence, written by Thomas Jefferson and adopted by the Second Continental Congress, states the reasons the British colonies of North America sought independence in July of 1776.

Now that you have read the article/source, you are going to analyze them!
First, you will analyze the article/primary source.
Things to consider during your analysis... 1. What is the context/topic of the article/primary source? 2. Summarize/highlight the most important pieces of information of the text. 3. Why do you believe these (above) are significant? 4. How is the text relevant to the United States? 5. Why is this information important to know today?
Second, you will gather all of your information into any kind of presentation (your choice!). Pretend you are the teacher and will teach your topic to a friend. Make sure your analyzed information is clear, supported with textual evidence, and informative.
Step 3: Submit
Once you have completed the analysis/lesson, upload and submit it to Google Classroom. Make sure you proof-read for errors first!
